 We are currently commissioning comic-book artists to illustrate the Chapter One beta. The story follows several plotlines, and our plan is to give each one its own artist. This will allow the different storylines to develop distinct visual identities while remaining part of the same world.

Across the project, we are aiming to develop an aesthetic that honours the human artists that made the work, we are calling this Comic Pentimento.

Comic pentimento: a visible-process approach where the finished image preserves genuine traces of its creation. These may be partly retained underdrawing, visible revisions, corrections, paste-overs and variations in finish are to remain visible.
